Benefits Of Umrah

Benefits Of Umrah

Do you want to embark on a life-changing spiritual journey? You can only find it in Umrah! Pilgrimage to Mecca is an ideal way for Muslims to purify their spirits, strengthen their faith, and reap benefits in this life and the next. Umrah is a convenient and significant event that may occur at any time of the year, unlike Hajj. As you go around the Kaaba, picture yourself feeling the burden of your transgressions has been removed. As you undertake Umrah alongside Muslims from all around the world, picture the sense of solidarity and camaraderie that arises. This opportunity comes just once in a lifetime to show how devoted you are to God and to catch a glimpse of heaven.

1. Opportunity To Visit The Creator Of The Entire Universe As A Guest:

Through Umrah, you have the opportunity to be welcomed as a sacred guest by the King of all Kingdoms and Supreme Creator of the whole universe. Being a guest of Allah Ta'ala, whereby He SWT Himself hosts the one who dedicates his time and resources to serving Allah Ta'ala with good intentions, is the first and most enjoyable reward that pilgrims can get using Umrah.

The most beautiful sensation in the world, being welcomed as a guest of Allah, is enough to freeze one's spine. The pilgrim senses an unusual serenity in himself as soon as he gets there. The peculiar calm, purity, cleanliness, and fulfilment it brings to his body, mind, and spirit is beneficial to him.

According to Hazrat Abu Huraira RA, the Prophet PBUH said:

“The guests of Allah are three: The Ghazi (the warrior who fights in Jihad just for the sake of Allah), the Hajji (the pilgrim who performs Hajj) and the Mu’tamir (the pilgrim who performs Umrah)”.

2. Strengthen Our Eman:

Umrah has several advantages, but it also helps the performer by enhancing his Eman. A believer's strong emanation is the most appealing attribute; without it, he is like any other regular person. He must never forget that his Eman is what makes him unique both here on Earth and in the hereafter. In the rush of modern life, we often commit sins without even recognizing them, which progressively destroys our faith. However, when someone goes to conduct Umrah with sincere and pure intentions, just for the sake of Allah Almighty and completes all the rites without making any mistakes, they unquestionably go closer to Allah SWT.

3. Possibility Of Cleansing Our Sins:

Umrah offers us the opportunity to apologize for our sins and free our bodies and souls from the weight of our previous misdeeds. Sin is inherent in human nature. Because all of our little transgressions from before we left Umrah have been sealed, it keeps us secure on the Day of Judgment. This results in the person feeling like a newborn, free of the weight of previous transgressions and with a pure body and spirit. The All-Powerful offers His creation an opportunity to beg for forgiveness, and He instantly grants that request.

Abu Huraira RA narrated that our beloved Holy Prophet PBUH said:

“From one Umrah to another is expiation for what comes in between, and ‘Hajj Al-Mabrur’ brings no reward less than Heaven”.

4. Equivalent Of A Jihad:

Jihad is undoubtedly one of Islam's most holy deeds, but not everyone has the opportunity to take part in it. Martyrdom is the prize for jihad because it is an act of extreme love and dedication. While there isn't an active Jihad in the present day that Muslims can participate in, performing Umrah will grant you rewards comparable to Jihad.

The beautiful Hadith tells us that those who are weaker than others receive many rewards for completing Umrah.

Allah’s Messenger said:

The combatant in the foundation of Allah, the pilgrim and the one who is performing Umrah are all the provision of Allah. He called them and they answer back and they will ask of His abdications and He will give it to them.”

At another event, The PBUH said:

“Jihad of the elderly, the young, the weak and the women is Hajj and Umrah.”

5. Eliminates Poverty:

The Umrah is among the greatest acts of worship and an exceptional instance of the Prophet Muhammad's Sunnah, therefore it is inconceivable that Allah SWT would not profit from it. We can determine quite clearly from this lovely Hadith that performing Umrah is a means of eliminating poverty. Removal of poverty is another advantage of Umrah that we can gather by implementing the Sunnah of Prophet PBUH. The pilgrims receive riches from Allah SWT because they use it solely to ask for pardon and to please their Lord. Muslim jurists state that anybody who is physically and financially capable must do at least one Umrah in their lifetime, either in conjunction with or before the Hajj.

The Holy Prophet PBUH said:

“Perform Hajj and Umrah consecutively, for they remove poverty and sin as hollers remove impurity from iron”

Hazrat Ayesha RA said:

“Whoever greeneries his home only for the obstinacy of Hajj or Umrah and dies, nothing will be obtainable to him nor will he have any liability on the day of Reckoning and it will be said to him, enter into Jannah”

6. Provides You With Physical Strength:

The allure of Islam is that, despite the fact that it is practised in the name of Allah Ta'ala, it is beneficial to you in every manner. He is the Most Gracious Giver, bestowing upon you much more than you deserve. When you conduct Umrah, your body feels lighter and your soul gets lighter, which provides you power and helps you overcome physical illnesses. Umrah improves our body's health and everyday supply of nutrients.

7. Benefits Of Doing The Umrah In Ramadan

While performing Umrah during Ramadan is nearly as beneficial as performing Hajj, it does not relieve you of the need to perform Hajj. That is only a bonus—the icing on the cake. Thus, think about performing Umrah if you want to improve your Ramadan. Just remember that it is an extra benefit and does not take the place of the Hajj obligation.
